The Farmer’s Apprentice Restaurant Review

Some friends and I wanted to do something special for dinner so I suggested The Farmer’s Apprentice on South Granville because I remembered reading about how it was super trendy and cool in Vancouver Magazine. I’m almost positive those are the exact words that were used to review it.

It’s one of those restaurants where you have two options (vegan or regular) of a 5 course meal although it might have been 6, I meant to write this post a few weeks ago. It’s a little nook of a restaurant but it was packed and we went on a weekday night so make your resos people!

Vegan in Vancouver

The first thing I can tell you is that it reminds me of all my favourite food documentaries on Netflix where the brilliant chefs put like one radish on a plate with tweezers and then just drizzle it with butter and salt. I’ll rant more about that in the future. Stay tuned. The food was divine, subtle, and layered, but I wanted to hit up somewhere for some dessert after because I was still hungry.Farmer's Apprentice Vancouver

I will warn you that if you don’t eat everything on your plate (ps you can’t take Shawna anywhere) then you’ll likely get a bit of a questioning from the waitress. I think it’s a bit of a shock when you don’t lick your plates clean, which I obviously did.

I don’t even remember what it was that I was eating in the picture below but it made me want to yell ‘KELLY CLARKSON!’ in joy. Also, very strong and delicious drinks.

The only disappointment came from dessert, sorry vegans. Everything was so nuanced, pretty, and tasty and dessert was sorbet on sliced apple.
